Tinta Education Ltd in Sweden organize week-long courses for teachers in several European countries, for example Florence, Dublin, Istanbul and Stockholm. The courses Smile and Reading the City have the city and museums as their starting point. The course Digital Extra focuses on exploring a range of eLearning methods to better prepare teachers for a rapidly changing workplace. The courses give the participant the possibility to explore new educational methods and to join a network of teachers from other countries.
The courses are mostly financed by EU grants from respective National Agencies.

SMILE stands for Schools Museums Identity Learning Education and is for teachers of children, young people and adults, or for you who work with teacher education. The course focuses on how to use museums in teaching. The course is a mix of museum visits, lectures, workshops and group excercises.

Reading the City is about using the city as a tool for learning. Instead of sitting in a classroom and just talk about the city, we go out and ‘read’ it: listen, smell, feel, taste and look at it. Lectures alternate with workshops and group excercises. The course is for teachers of children, young people and adults, or for you who work with teacher education.

Digital Extra
The course Digital Extra focuses on exploring a range of eLearning methods to better prepare teachers for a rapidly changing workplace and to connect them with a new generation of learners. Basic skills will be developed together with more advanced competencies and to ICT enhanced learning will be addressed. A CMS platform will be created to be used by the participants before, during and after the course. The material created during the course will be shared on this platform. A social network platform will be provided for the participants to discuss the in-service training after it has ended. Digital Extra is open for teachers, teacher trainers, ICT support staff and resource centre staff and museum educationalists.
